KENYA AIRPORTS AUTHORITY

Description of Job Responsibility

  • Installation and maintenance of surveillance systems and access control (CCTV infrastructure and access control system in the airport as required by aviation security standards).
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to ip cameras, NVRs, CCTV network and servers including Ethernet/electrical cabling.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to card issuance software (IDMS, HID AsureID) client/server connectivity and communication.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data distribution service (DDS) JET controllers and its connected exterior elements namely: badge-readers, alarm entries, push-buttons, electro-magnetic locks and Ethernet/electrical cabling.
  • Periodic preparation of cctv/access control infrastructure and processes status reports based on continuous reviews and maintenance at the client/ server level.
  • Continuously enhancing and upgrading system capabilities to suit airport surveillance needs and liaising with IT department and system vendors to ensure data integrity.

Description of Job Responsibility

  • Systems and network installation; configuration from ISP base poc to LAN client computers; monitoring and user support i.e Cisco router 1941, cisco gateway security appliance 5510, Windows Server 2008Rx, Helpdesk Manage Engine system, Ebiz frame, Syspro, Mansoft, Weigh Cane Lab.
  • Wireless access points (ubiquity) installation, configuration, and adoption to the network radius server/domain controller for secure management.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to ip cameras, NVRs, CCTV network and servers including Ethernet/electrical cabling.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to network failures, domain controller, and end-user client machines.
  • Internet signal monitoring and connectivity of local area network, Wireless Area Network supported by ubiquity access points, and uptime of PABX equipment, telephone lines, and ip extensions.
  • Analyzing hardware and software issues affecting system users, troubleshoot and prioritize these issues.

Description of Job Responsibility

  • Hardware software management that included repair and maintenance of computers, printers, and photocopiers.
  • Corporate local area network operations which included cable termination using RJ45, network monitoring, troubleshooting on Cisco Routers (2800 series) and Cisco Catalyst Switches (3550).
  • Electronic resource planning installation and end user client server configuration (S.A.P).
